An electric skateboard range estimate is a useful starting point, but your actual distance will depend on your ride. Understanding the main factors can help you plan a route with a comfortable margin.
Battery capacity
Watt-hours (Wh) describe stored energy. The Venka Nova, Spark and Terra each use a 12S4P 20Ah 888Wh battery. Capacity alone does not tell you exactly how far a board will travel.
Wheels and riding surfaces
Wheels and road conditions influence rolling resistance. Nova’s 90mm street-wheel configuration is estimated at 65–70 km, Spark’s 105mm Mad Wheels V2 setup at 65 km, and Terra’s 150mm pneumatic setup at 50–55 km.
Rider, speed and terrain
Rider weight, hills, acceleration, speed, wind and temperature all affect energy use. Tire pressure also matters on pneumatic wheels. Estimates are not a guarantee for every rider or route.
Plan your first rides
Start with shorter routes, monitor battery level and allow extra capacity to get home. Follow local rules and wear protective equipment.
